| Montmartre :
Today
the most famous Parisian place thanks to the Jean-Pierre Jeunet
film “Amelie from Montmartre”, Montmartre is the
last romantic village inside the big city of Paris.
The atmosphere “Paris 1900” is still very present
in this area. Cafés and squares have a character quite
unlike the rest of the city. The Paris’ legendary Moulin
Rouge, known for its French can-can dancers, still thrones
at the ‘butte Montmartre’.
The ghosts of Toulouse-Lautrec, Picasso, Van Gogh or Renoir
are still haunting the old winding streets. Do not forget
to visit the Espace Salvador Dali and the Musée de
Montmartre! Main monument : the magnificent Basilique du Sacré-Cœur,
from the steps of which you can admire a 50 km view of Paris.
Our advice : come at sunset !
